    Coffee Banana Smoothie

    This recipe makes two servings of coffee banana smoothie that are perfect to enjoy for breakfast or as a healthy snack. The recipe is quick and easy so you can have this delicious smoothie ready in less than 5 minutes.

    If you’re looking for a quick breakfast and still need your morning coffee fix then try this coffee smoothie recipe. Its super delicious and made with simple ingredients including black coffee, banana and peanut butter.

    This smoothie only contains around 200 calories and 7g Protein so great for those trying to increase protein in their diet. You can make this coffee smoothie to drink alone or you can pair it with some eggs for a healthy breakfast.

    Ingredients for Coffee Banana Smoothie

    • Coffee – I use instant coffee granules that I mix with water and allow to cool before making the smoothie.
    • Milk – I use semi skimmed milk although you can use any milk including lactose free milk.
    • Banana – use a large banana or two small bananas.
    • Peanut butter – use smooth peanut butter. You can also use almond butter.
    • Honey – you can use whichever type of honey you prefer.

    How to Make Coffee Banana Smoothie 

    1. Add the coffee granules to a mug then pour in 150ml of boiling water from the kettle. Mix until the granules are dissolved then cover the mug and set aside to cool. Once cooled, store the brewed coffee in the fridge until you’re ready to make the coffee banana smoothie.

    2. Add the cold black coffee to a blender then add in the milk, banana, peanut butter and honey. Blitz until smooth then serve.

    Storage

    This smoothie is best consumed immediately but you can store leftover coffee banana smoothie in a airtight jar or bottle and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. If you store any leftovers in the fridge, give the smoothie a stir before consuming.
