This recipe is for a beef and broccoli stir-fry. It is one of my old school recipes that I have been making for years and I decided to make it today as I found some sirloin steaks buried deep down in my chest freezer and couldn’t think what to do with them. This recipe came to mind as it’s delicious, filling and so quick to prepare.
I’m a big fan of stir fries as I love my vegetables crunchy. I find stir fried vegetables much tastier and more appealing than boiled vegetables. One day I decided to make a beef and broccoli stir-fry and while preparing the veg, I remembered that I wanted to try some orange and ginger in a stir fry (an idea I got from a cooking show). So, I juiced an orange, chopped up some ginger and threw them in. I couldn’t believe how gorgeous the flavours were. That was many years ago and I still love this beef and broccoli stir-fry recipe.
Over the years I have played around with this recipe and I think it is definitely time I shared it. The flavours in this recipe go so well together and I know you will love this recipe as much as I do. As I’ve stated, I don’t follow a strict low carb diet but I do ensure I have 1 low carb meal a day to keep my total carbs down. If I have starchy carbs for lunch then I won’t have them for dinner and vice versa so there are times that I enjoy this stir fry with some egg noodles and it taste amazing.
