What can I use Cajun Seasoning For?

Cajun seasoning is from Louisiana which is the home of Cajun cuisine. This seasoning can be used in many dishes including soups and stews. It can also be used to season chicken, beef, pork, and seafood.  It is very versatile and can be used in breading or batter to make crispy shrimp or southern fried chicken. My favourite way to use it is to season fries and make Cajun fries.

This recipe is a general recipe for Cajun seasoning and there are many variations of it. The recipe is very adaptable and you can omit salt if you prefer. Many of the Cajun seasonings you can buy contain a large quantity of salt so making it yourself means you can reduce or leave out the salt.

The next time you want to spice up your food be sure to make a batch of this Cajun seasoning.
