    Cream Cheese and Smoked Salmon Celery Sticks

    These cream cheese and smoked salmon celery sticks are super delicious and are perfect to enjoy as a healthy filling snack.

    Cream Cheese and Smoked Salmon on Celery Sticks

    If you are following a low carb diet then this is the perfect snack. It includes celery sticks that are filled with a cream cheese and smoked salmon filling. I usually sprinkle some sesame seeds on them to add additional healthy fats. They are are a great substitute for smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels and a healthier alternative. They're just as delicious and you won't miss the bread.

    This snack is easy to prepare and it is the perfect snack to keep your sugar levels steady without causes a sugar spike. You can prepare this snack and take it out with you when on the go and you can have them whipped up in less than 5 minutes.

    This celery cream cheese snack also makes the perfect low carb appetiser and best of all they contain 32 calories and 0.7 grams of carbohydrate per stick.

    Ingredients for Cream Cheese and Smoked Salmon Celery Sticks

    • Celery - I use celery sticks that have already been cut.
    • Smoked salmon - use any sliced smoked salmon.
    • Cream cheese - use reduced fat or full fat cream cheese.
    • Chives - use fresh or dried chives.
    • Sesame seeds - use to top the celery cream cheese sticks.

    How to Make Cream Cheese and Smoked Salmon Celery Sticks

    1. Wash and dry the celery sticks using paper towel then set them aside.

    2. Finely chop the smoked salmon into very small pieces then add them to a small bowl. Add the cream cheese and chives to the bowl with the salmon then mix them all together.

    3. Using a table knife, fill the celery sticks with the cream cheese and smoked salmon mixture. Press the cream cheese mixture tightly into the grooves of the celery sticks then sprinkle on the sesame seeds.

    Recipe Tips

    • You can use reduced fat or full fat cream cheese as the carbs are very low in both.
    • The smoked salmon should be chopped very finely so it is easier to filling the celery.
    • Dried chives or fresh chives can be used. I prefer fresh chives as I find it has stronger flavour.

    • 80g cream cheese
    • 1 teaspoon chives
    • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
