- 150g raw beef mince 5%
- ½ small onion (chopped)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder/granules
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder/granules
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 20ml water
For the Salad
- 160g romaine lettuce (chopped)
- 1 small red onion (chopped)
- 1 medium avocado (sliced)
- 100g cherry tomatoes (halved)
- 80g gherkins/pickles (sliced)
- 30g cheddar cheese (grated)
To a frying pan, add the sunflower oil and place the frying pan on a medium heat. Once heated add the beef mince and onions. Begin to break up the mince continuously and stir until there is no pink left on the meat.
Add the onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, paprika and soy sauce then mix them into the meat while it is still on a medium heat. Add the water to the pan and reduce to a low heat. Leave to simmer for 20 minutes or until the water has dried out then turn of the heat and set aside while you make the salad.
Place all the salad ingredients together in the serving bowls then spoon the minced beef onto the salad, sprinkle on the cheese and any dressing you desire then enjoy.
