Ingredients

  • 8 medium chicken thighs
  • ½ teaspoon salt optional
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder or granules
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder or granules
  • 1 tablespoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon parsley fresh or dried
  • 3 tablespoon honey
  • 3 tablespoon soy sauce light or dark
  • 2 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  • If you do so, rinse chicken and pat dry with kitchen towel. Remove the skins from the chicken thighs and trim off any extra fat on the chicken. Add the chicken to a bowl and season with salt, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, ground ginger and parsley. Mix the seasoning into the chicken to fully coat then set the bowl aside.
  • To a smaller bowl, add and mix together the honey, soy sauce and sesame oil then pour it onto the seasoned chicken. Mix in to coat the chicken then cover the bowl and place in the fridge for around 4 hours or overnight (optional).
  • When you are ready to bake, preheat the oven gas mark 7/425oF/220oC. Add the chicken to a baking dish and bake in the oven for 50 – 60 minutes turning the chicken thighs over halfway through. Once fully cooked, the internal temperature should be around 85oC/185oF. Allow to stand for 10 minutes then serve the chicken and the marinade sauce with your favourite side dish.
